When Sam’s new video game system arrives in the mail, he unexpectedly finds that it isn’t the one he sent in for repairs, and instead he has received some sort of limited edition model. He soon finds out how unique the model is when after downloading his newest game he is transported into the system and expected to play through the role of his character without access to the real world, or any of the informationally packed strategy guides he is used to using. Handicapped by his own impatience to start playing, Sam is left to figure out the new world which he has fallen into. He has no weapons, no armor, no save points, and no way home. The only thing he has going in his favor is his experience, and his willingness to game more.

The author is walking a fairly unique line between traditional LitRPG where the world comes alive and even the monsters and NPCs have motivation, and a preplanned world where everything is scripted.In Towns and Towers the NPCs seem to be autonomous, but the monsters respawn and as far as I can tell the Main Character does not. It would be interesting to see if the Townspeople pop back up after the've been killed with no memories of their deaths. I'm not sure where the edge of the mechanics are.
The female characters were better than traditional LitRPGs in that they actually had some character. They were annoying, true -- in one instance the MC is forced to have a long conversation explaining things to an ex girlfriend, while all around him his comrades in arms are in combat dying. Since I can imagine some of my exes doing exactly the same thing, it rings true.
The book does move slowly when compared to the more popular series like Alterworld, The Land, and The Game. But it is still enjoyable.

There are very few stat pages in this story, and no he doesn't get to allocate points on level up. There are parts of the story that I personally felt needed a little more detail, like where or when he picked up the gold he was suddenly spending or how he got his hands on what I'd call an infinity bag. We know the lead female character has one, but how or when did he get his?
I found only a couple of editing mistakes, which was a great thing as the flow of the story wasn't really interrupted.
I found the story to be fun and was able to sink into the world and really enjoy the read.
I'm looking forward to the next book and I think most folks that enjoy litrpg or fantasy books will enjoy this one as well.

i found this light rpg theme to be pleasant and easy to read. everything revolves around the tower and town with the main guy finding good quests to pump up before ending up joining others in the towers first floor. the character interactions were very well done i felt . so wheres book 2?
Very good Litrpg book. May be a little light on the accepted tropes of Litrpg, no explicit experience points, pretty light on mention of stats, but it is still there. This is a fun take on the 'stuck' in a game plot with how the main character got there being the MacGuffin of the plot.I really enjoyed the book as it was well written and not full of typos or very awkward phrases that arise from poor translations that is present in a lot of other books in the genre. It is a quick read and most things seem to go pretty well and easily for the MC, he is leaning toward the typical overpowered character that we see but I am still looking forward to the next installment.
Very creative setting > I noticed the title first and it drew me in> Now Just hoping for a a second part.
Some real potential here, and a fun read. Looking forward to more.
